The moral philosophy of Philip Circus is an improvement on his party politics (‘Moral relativism is cause of much wrongdoing’, WSCT, July 26).
The 60th anniversary of moral philosopher Cyril Joad (1891-1953) approaches, and I grow in the conviction that if he had not died when he did - 1953 - a critically-important Moral Realism movement would have developed, to rival that of the prevailing Moral Relativism of his time, and today.
I invite councillor Circus - and all other readers - to the Stedham Festival of Thought (Saturday April 6, 2013), to mark the 60th anniversary of this ill-remembered West Sussex philosopher.
