New format is welcome

Congratulations on your new size. I must say, it’s a vast improvement on the old size. Much more convenient, particularly for junior readers, as well as grown-ups with short arms. But I am particularly pleased to see that you have retained the larger page-size for the Property Section.

For many of us, the Property Section is an essential part of our community newspaper. It may not be the most riveting of reads, but the large pages of the Property Section come into their own when you’re doing those messy jobs around the home.

Decorating, repotting your houseplants, cleaning your football boots, trimming your poodle etc. Yes, yes, I know, it is possible to use a tabloid for this type of thing, but let’s be honest - it’s not as good as a broadsheet, is it?

The WSCT management have obviously done their research, listened to their customers, and what they’ve come up with here is the perfect package. A one-stop turn-key solution to all our newspaper needs.

Small pages for the bits that people read, and large pages for the bits that people do other things with.

Brilliant!

Would I continue purchasing the County Times every week if it was totally tabloid and they didn’t throw in a few of the old-style larger pages for free?

That’s a tough one. Thankfully, I don’t have to make that choice.
