Narrow squeak for bottle bank mice

IT’S WELL done to the driver of a Horsham District Council glass recycling lorry, who lifted our bottle bank and noticed a mouse plus six babies beneath.

What happened next? Well, the mouse moved the babies (only one inch in length) one by one to a position six inches to one side of where the bottle bank had stood!

The driver/operator then lowered the bottle bank and the mouse duly returned the babies one by one to the nest.

Isn’t it good to see man and nature living in harmony, after all, we are all God’s creatures.
