Library cutbacks

SIX WEEKS ago, we were told that our mobile library would come to the village on a different day and time to save money. It now comes at 1.45pm instead of 3.45pm.

This means that school children cannot choose their own books or meet their friends in the wider community.

I’m 12 now and I have been using this service for nearly ten years. The librarians are friendly and helpful and I miss seeing them. I have written to West Sussex County Council and asked them to think again. Why should children suffer and why should the village’s services be the first to be cut?
