LETTER: Wonderful fair needs helpers

The New Horizons Appeal volunteer ladies are in need of some help at the Autumn Gift Fair in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice at Knepp Castle, Shipley, on Thursday September 19.

Car parking, raffle ticket selling and the moving of tables and chairs, is the work of kind hearted volunteers that all goes to make the NHA Autumn Gift Fair such a wonderful event every year.

Without volunteers the event just would not happen or raise so much for the appeal which has sponsored a community nurse for the past two years.

People lead such busy lives, that this year’s fair seem to be short of volunteers able to give up a morning or afternoon helping us with the jobs that surround such an event.

Anyone interested in helping on Thursday 19th September should send an email to pauladaly@stch.org.uk or call on 01293 447367. All help is much appreciated.

Volunteering is all about giving something back, and as St Catherine’s Hospice is our local hospice, it’s good to support a local charity that helps local people.
