BEARING in mind the current acute water shortage and the fact that this seems to be a regularly occurring phenomenon, does Horsham District Council take this fully into account when deciding on planning application for new developments?
Increases in infrastructure are expensive. They could alleviate the distribution of water but do not actually produce any new water!
In approving any planning development, the council should reassure us that it has fully researched the availability of adequate water and is satisfied that no problems will arise.
I would be surprised if the new development north of the A264 does not cause acute shortages.
