LETTER: Sunday voting?

With the world changing so fast now surely this could be the time to reconsider the proposal of our voting day being changed to Sunday.

Most people I speak to agree and feel sure that turnout would be considerably improved.

No more school closures and plenty of reliable, secure volunteers to help man the posts.

Working days are not popular, hence the low turnout.

Let’s try on our day of rest, there’s so much to be gained for all. Religion would not be affected as it only takes a minute to vote. I’m sure other problems could be overcome.
