Why do cyclists think that every pathway in the countryside is solely for their use and enjoyment?
The other evening I was roundly abused by two cyclists, despite my pointing to the footpath sign and the other picture based signs that clearly indicated ‘no cycling’.
I have no issue sharing the bridleways and other common access pathways, but why do cyclists think they can ignore or abuse those of us enjoying the countryside on foot!
It surely must be time to insist that all bikes have registration plates, pay for insurance and contribute to the roads and pathways they use.
Then if we encounter the badly behaved on two wheels we can at least report the culprits!
