The Rotary Club of Cranleigh is seeking nominations for the Rotary Young Citizen Award 2014. If you know of any deserving person or group who you would like to nominate, please contact Cranleigh Rotarian Michael Frost on 01483 273497. Nominations should be received by 31 December 2013.

Launched in 2007, in association with the BBC News Channel, the awards recognise individuals or groups of people below the age of 25 who have made a positive difference to other people’s lives during the current year.

They may have volunteered for one or more projects, raised money for charitable purposes, made a positive impact in the local community or, possibly, acted as a carer for a relative.

All nominees are put forward for the national Rotary competition. RIBI Young Citizen Winners receive trophies and a cash prize of £500 at the RIBI Conference, where the awards are presented live on the BBC News Channel.
