This year’s successful Horsham Riverside Walk, a 13-mile ramble round the outskirts of the town, was held in July with around 250 people taking part.
On this occasion, walkers were asked to arrange sponsorship of themselves and/or donate cash to support the local branch of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Through your paper, I would like to thank all those who contributed in this way and raised a total of £1,030.
Horsham Town Community Partnership (HTCP) organised the Walk and is delighted that this figure will help support people to live well with dementia today and fund research to find a cure for tomorrow.
For those interested: Yes, we are already thinking about next year’s event.
