Mrs Oakley’s letter (‘How many errors around town?’ WSCT 19.06.14) highlights the fact that there are grammatical errors in the new paving slabs in West Street.

Of course these mistakes will now be in the tablets of stone for all time.

Which cabinet member spearheaded and co-ordinated the so called ‘improvements’ to West Street at huge tax payer’s expense? Cllr Helena Croft (Roffey North) did. The mistakes in the paving slabs will be there all the time, as will the concreting over of 800 acres of green fields in the ‘Strategic Gap’, which Cllr Croft voted for in her blind loyal support for her leader Cllr Dawe.
