WITH reference to the County Times headlines of January 5, it seems a sad reflection of a large housing developer that they wouldn’t even speak to the local people who would be affected by any develpoment they were proposing.
The affected fields and lanes are currently used and enjoyed daily by hundreds of local people. Is it really the best choice to build houses just to line the pockets of some businessmen who don’t even live in the same country?
I also hope that the right people can plainly see that the attached hospital is just a ruse to get the public’s hopes up. We don’t need any more shops, there are currently numerous empty commercial buildings sitting idle within the local area.
Does the surrounding countryside mean nothing to us any more? It’s about time the people who live here were asked their opinions.
