On Saturday 14 June 2014, with the agreement of Horsham District Council, Lions Club Members and Friends of Horsham Lions undertook a Street Collection in The Town Centre of Horsham.

With the help of The Members of The Horsham Community the sum of £358.24 was raised.

I would like to once again like to thank ‘The People of Horsham’ and surrounding villages for their generosity, it is greatly appreciated as it will help Horsham Lions support those of our Community who need help.

As I am in my last month as President of Horsham Lions Club, I would like to take this opportunity of thanking the People Of Horsham, Pubs and Businesses in Horsham and surrounding villages for all the support you have given us throughout the last 12 months. I sincerely hope your support will continue under our incoming Club President Lion Clare Wilson, who will be only the second lady President in the 51 year history of Horsham Lions Club.

One final thing I would like to say is that in order that we can continue our work in The Horsham Community not to mention, Nation and International Lions Projects throughout the world we need local people to come and join us to help in the work of organising and managing both Fundraising and Service Events. We also have a range of social club events organised. In order to set this process in motion, please come and talk to us at the ‘Sparks In The Park’ Charity Day Event on Sunday 13 July 2014 in Horsham Park between 12noon and 5pm.

In the alternative please visit the club website: www.horshamlions.freeuk.com or e-mail me at tomosborne1947@gmail.com for more information.
