On reading the comprehensive approach to the Quadrant area in the County Times June12, and with the present plans for the area, houses/flats retail etc and further plans to be debated later this month, with the leisure centre no doubt having the smaller part of the area and more we hope being put into the new building, can we expect the size of the new leisure centre to be bigger than it is at the moment?

If six rink bowls area, changing rooms, toilets and room for lockers for security we would expect it to be so.

HDC, no doubt, know what ground they will be giving to put any buildings on and not worried if the leisure centre pays its way as it will be run by new name company People for Places.

In the further planning talks this month HDC should start saying what ground coverage each building will take up and not letting us know this when the work on the site has started.
