Have your say

On behalf of Horsham Lions I would like to thank the people of Horsham and Southwater for their generosity and support during our recent fundraising activities during December.

Our fundraising projects included:

Street collections in Southwater and North Horsham which raised £503.20 and £586.33.

Collections at Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s which raised £2,672.45.

Selling a variety of Christmas Cakes, produced specially for Lions Clubs in the UK, to local businesses who used them as presents for their customers and or staff which raised £600.

A number of local pubs and businesses who agreed to run a Christmas Hamper Raffle from early December until the New Year raising £2,500.

The monies raised was used to provide 75 Christmas parcels for needy families plus 29 presents for their children in the Horsham Area. These families were identified by Horsham Lions by working with The Horsham Charity ARK and The Horsham Women’s Refuge.

The balance of the monies will be used to support Lions charity projects, locally, nationally and internationally.

Horsham Lions wish to continue with the work in the local community and beyond, but in order to do so it would most helpful, to have additional ‘community minded people’ to join us, who would enjoy giving some of their free time. We also enjoy having fun and socialising. If you are interested in finding out more about us please contact Lion Tom Osborne on 0845 8333 7829.
