Have your say

On Saturday March 23, 36 runners braved the freezing weather in The Dash 4 Tash 2013 ,in memory of Natasha Hammerton, who passed away in June 2008 from Ovarian Cancer. Friends and relatives were determined to carry on and make this annual event a success .

The youngest, Lexie, aged four, and Becky, aged five, ran a mile, and Bethany ran an amazing seven miles.

George ran 15 miles and Joe ran 20 miles, everyone else ran between three and 14 miles, showing so much determination to make the event the best ever.

The event raised an fantastic £1,750-plus.

I am overwhelmed by everyone’s support and generosity, I am so proud of them all.

Bethany spent so much time contacting local businesses for donations, and created an incredible raffle that raised £850 of the total.

We would like to thank them for their support: Bonny Boutique, Soapy Secrets ,Mr Sims, Horsham Bowling, Horsham Golf and Fitness, Scissor Sisters, Bills, Fluers,The Body Shop, Digits Nail Salon, Beauty Secrets, The Hornbrook, The Dog and Bacon, The Artisan, Dominos Pizza, Pelham House Hotel, and Burberry.

Joe and George are running The London Marathon for Ovarian Cancer Action and this will make such a difference to research and awareness, in memory of our Tash.

Anybody who wishes to add to the money raised can still do so via Joe and George’s link: https://www.justgiving.com/Joe-George-MarathonMadness.
