CHRISTMAS is a special time of year for families and friends, but for many people who have lost someone close, it can be a time of sadness. St Catherine’s Hospice understands this and is here to help.
Many people find comfort in attending our Tree of Light service, an annual event which provides a sensitive and meaningful way for friends and family to gather together to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones.
It’s a simple service which includes carols, readings and a chance to pause, reflect and remember the life of someone special.
This year our main Tree of Light service will be held from 4pm on Sunday December 4 at K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley.
There are also a number of smaller, local services happening across the area on Sunday December 4:
Trinity URC in Billingshurst at 5pm.
St Margaret’s in Warnham at 6.30pm.
St Mark’s Church, Horsham, at 6.30pm.
Trafalgar Road Baptist Church, Horsham, at 6.30pm.
Everyone, regardless of faith or background, is welcome to attend a Tree of Light service, whether the loss is recent, some time ago, or if the person being remembered was cared for by St Catherine’s or elsewhere.
You can find full details of the K2 service and all local services online at www.stch.org.uk/treeoflight or by calling 01293 447364.
We look forward to welcoming you to one of our services.
