Andrew Smith, general manager and head golf professional says: “It is extraordinary how people pull together to raise so much awareness and funds. The event started when my dearest friend was diagnosed in 2011 with cancer of the trachea. Macmillan helped him and his family and now we want to give as much support as possible to people who are experiencing the same journey.”

David Metcalfe, joint organiser and Macmillan’s Mid Sussex branch treasurer was thrilled with the outcome and praised all involved .

“We always have a great experience at Mid Sussex Golf Club, and both the course and hospitality provided help to make this such a happy event. I am delighted that we are able to continue to play the competition at Mid Sussex Golf Club and that Caffyns will continue to support the event in 2017. A huge thank you to everybody involved in what was truly a fantastic day.”
