On Monday, December 3, St Andrew’s School, Nuthurst blessed a new oak tree which was planted to replace the previous 400 year old oak, which had to be cut down due to an aggressive virus.

After a very successful fund raising campaign organised by one of our governors, we were able to purchase a replacement tree thanks to the generous donations of members of the Nuthurst and Mannings Heath parish, and parents of current and former pupils.

The blessing ceremony was led by Canon Ian Hutchinson and attended by the whole school community as well as several parents. The oldest and youngest pupil cut the ribbon.

We are very grateful to all those who so generously donated to the tree fund.

The planting is pictured here.
