Horsham YMCA’s Southern Combination League match away to Arundel tonight has been postponed owing to a waterlogged pitch.
The surface at Mill Road has been deemed unfit after a lunch time inspection by a referee.
The Mullets’ pitch, which is on the floodplains of the River Arun, is well-known for not taking much water and after a heavy deluge last night and yesterday evening - the Premier Division clash has not survived.
Peter Buckland’s YM side will be thankfully of the break ahead of their FA Cup second qualifying round clash at Gorings Mead with Aveley on Saturday.
In other local fixtures tonight, Horsham host Wick & Barnham, Loxwood welcome Littlehampton and Broadbridge Heath travel to East Preston.
In Division 1, Storrington welcome Selsey and Steyning Town are at Oakwood.
