Over 30 people attended the the launch of Woods for Learning in Leechpool Woods, for children, young people and families, despite the morning rain.
In the afternoon, the group were lucky to spot a grass snake to which there is a video on the website www.woodsforlearning.com
Woods for Learning has been developed through months of discussions with Horsham District Council, Gatwick Greenspace, the Green Gym to ensure it longevity.
On March 27th we are doing a nocturnal event - an inspiring educational approach to outdoor play and learning in a woodland environment.
There is the chance to learn about nocturnal animals, birds and gnomes, the camp fire and safe fire making, to understand the woods, take part in woodland games, team building and cooking - not forgetting the marshmallows.
The event will take place between 5pm and 7.30pm for ages four plus. Entry fee is £5 per person or £15 for a family of four plus.
Booking is essential. Call 07940489257, email email@example.com or visit www.woodsforlearning.com
We are also doing an Easter Egg Hunt event in April.
