Woman threatened with knife during Barns Green burglary

A WOMAN was threatened with a knife during a burglary in Peskett Close, Barns Green, at around midday on Friday (February 4), police have revealed.

Three men forced entry into the victim’s home, tied her up and threatened her with a knife while they searched the house. The men stole cash, jewellery and a mobile phone.

Detective Sergeant John Kalli said: “We are keeping an open mind as to the motives of the offenders. A full investigation is underway and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.”

The first suspect is described as having a Liverpudlian accent, 5ft 9in, early 20s, skinny, grey eyes. He was wearing a grey hooded top and jeans.

The second suspect is described as 6ft, early 20s, dark brown eyes and dark hair, long straight nose, thin, wearing a baggy grey hooded top and navy blue snood.

The third suspect is described as wearing a grey hooded top.

The items stolen include a silver bracelet with amber gems, silver opal earrings, a square shaped topaz ring and two gold bracelets.

A 17-year-old boy from Horsham has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on bail until April 11 pending further enquiries.
