Returning Troy Williams has said he turned higher offers to return for a second loan spell at Horsham.

The Grays Athletic midfielder re-signed for the Hornets yesterday after returning to his parent Premier Division club last week.

The 20-year-old made six starts in his first spell at Gorings Mead, after coming off the bench to score on his debut against Hythe Town.

Williams (@Troy10Williams) tweeted: “Happy to have re-signed back on loan at @HorshamFC.

“Had a couple offers higher up but never a doubt I was going to go back as @HorshamFC gave me the chance to play regular football, can’t wait to get started and start climbing up the table where they belong #COYH.”

He added: “It’s not about signing for a club because they are top three, it’s about where you feel at home and enjoy your football.”

The former Tooting & Mitcham United and Merstham player netted twice in total and recorded five assists in his first spell with the Hornets.
