A new planning application has been made to build a green waste composting facility at Broadbridge Farm in Ashington.

The previous plan was refused in 2010 amid opposition from residents, parish council and Arundel and South Downs MP Nick Herbert.

Submitted by Olus Environmental Ltd, the proposed facility in London Road would incorporate a tipping shed, compost storage area and access road.

Ashington Parish Council will be discussing the application at its meeting today (September 5), 7.45pm at Ashington School. To view the application, visit http://bit.ly/18rsWmK. Letters from the public must be submitted to West Sussex County Council by October 10.
