Have your say

The Horsham Matters charity shop recently received an August 1942 edition of the County Times amongst a box of donations.

The complete paper gives a unique perspective on Horsham in the middle of the Second World War and what was making the news then.

The historic edition could also make a unique gift for someone born 71 years ago in August, or indeed for relatives of those mentioned in the paper.

This includes the marriages of Mr Frank Merrit to Miss Phyllis Dinnage; Mr Pat Stevens to Miss Nellie King; as well as Sgt F W Allfrey to Miss Annie Holden; and the funeral of Mrs A Lambert, wife of the former Registrar at Horsham.

For a donation to Horsham Matters - the social enterprise run by Horsham Churches Together helping those in need locally - the historic memento could be yours to keep or give as a gift.
