Have your say

An Italian produce market, cars, bikes, entertainment and lots of attractions on the theme of Italy and the number seven will all be coming to Horsham town centre this Easter to celebrate Horsham Piazza Italia’s seventh successive year.

Good Friday’s Horsham Piazza Italia ‘Ferrari and Bike Friday’, organised by Horsham District Council, is already a firm favourite with anyone who has even the slightest interest in Ferraris and this year will be no exception.

As our video shows, last year’s event still attracted bumper crowds, despite the rain, to see the Ferraris and look around the numerous stalls.

Up to 200 Ducati led Italian motorbikes will be starting from Motori di Marino in West Chiltington before travelling in to Horsham town centre through the Carfax, where they will be on display either side of the Shelley Fountain and Bishopric at the end of West Street.

FUN GUARANTEED WITH GRANNY TURISMO ON EASTER SATURDAY

The near nationally famous ‘Granny Turismo’ – or Shopping Basket Grannies – will be racing their way around the town centre on their first Piazza Italia excursion this Easter Saturday.

Saturday March 30 also features Italia In Piazza, The Real Italian Food Market and the Vines Italian Job Mini Rally supported by Specsavers Horsham.

ROMEO AND JULIET STREET PERFORMANCE TO WOW CROWDS

A fantastic street theatre performance of Romeo and Juliet will be put on in the Carfax in Horsham town centre on Easter Monday, or as it is also known ‘Supercar Monday’.

Supercars including De Tomaso, Lamborghini, Maserati and Zonda, plus classics Alfa Romeo, Fiat 500, Fiat coupe and other Italian marques will be parked in the Carfax on Monday 1 April.

In the case of severe weather, the Council will endeavour to let people know as soon as possible if there are changes to the event schedule though local media channels and the Council’s website and Facebook and Twitter (@horshamdc) pages.

The event is organised by Horsham District Council in conjunction with many businesses and in aid of charities:

Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance (Good Friday)

Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice (Easter Saturday)

The Children’s Trust (Easter Monday)
