VIDEO: Money raised for hospice at Barns Green classic car meet

Petrolheads of all ages enjoyed a treat at Barns Green on Sunday (August 25) as the third annual Classic Car and Vintage Vehicle Enthusiast Meeting was held.

The event, organised by locals at the village’s Queen’s Head pub, saw all proceeds donated to Chestnut Tree House hospice in Arundel.

Visitors enjoyed a display of classic vehicles in a village field, and an afternoon of local musicians performing live music, organised by the Gary Holder Music Club.

Organisers thanked Simon Smith of Sumners Ponds, as well as the Paladin Explorer Scouts of Shipley, who helped to organise traffic and parking.

Chestnut Tree House is the only children’s hospice in Sussex, and cares for more than 280 children and young adults between the ages of 0 and 25.
