It was all hands on deck as usual for a group Horsham Football Club supporters as they took to the waves to support their side on Saturday.
And no, not Mexican waves.
A contingent of the loyal fans - well known in footballing circles for their good humour and enthusiastic following of their team - sea-sed the day as they swapped the coach for a boat to travel to their away match at Arundel.
The Hornets may have almost been sunk on the pitch as they trailed 2-0 at half-time, but the players got the wind back in their sails at the break and saved a late draw.
But that did nothing to dampen the spirits of the Horsham faithful, who by all accounts had a splashing time, despite knot getting the result.
Twelve supporters travelled by boat and Horsham fan Matt Jones said: “The reaction, I guess, was quite surreal, we had a photo taken in Littlehampton of all of us and people walking by were certainly taken back by it all.
“When we arrived in Arundel, those sitting outside the pub next to the docking area were all very bemused and laughing with us as we were chanting ‘do you wanna be on our boat?’
“The day it self was great fun for all involved, the boat hats were brilliant and considering it was conceived at such short notice, the whole idea was superb.
“Now we’re trying to work out other modes of transport that we could possibly use for other games this season!”
