A woman has been taken to hospital following the collision

A woman has been taken to hospital after her car collided with a barrier on the A23 earlier this morning (March 22).

A spokeswoman from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) confirmed the collision happened on the A23 northbound exit slip road to Pease Pottage at around 8.40am.

A police spokesman said the woman, who was driving a Ford Focus, received medical treatment at the scene.

Fire crews from Horsham and Crawley attended the collision.

No other cars were involved.
