UPDATE: Woman taken to hospital after becoming trapped in Southwater home

A woman has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a home in Southwater.

A spokesman for the fire service said Horsham crews had been called to help paramedics free an injured woman from a narrow corridor of the first floor of a property in Kings Lane. A heavy rescue tender from Crawley was also sent to help.

The fire service said she had been freed and was left in the care of the ambulance service.

She has since been taken to hospital for further treatment.
