UPDATE: Power restored after tree causes power cut in Washington

A FALLEN tree this morning (Tuesday) resulted in 150 customers being without power in Washington.

UK Power Networks engineers are on site working to restore electricity supplies as quickly as possible.

A spokesperson said: “During high winds, which have been moving across the region today, a fallen tree brought down an overhead power line serving the local area.

“This initially caused low volts, followed by a power interruption at about 7.20am. The affected area includes Rock Road, London Road and Storrington Road.”

The power was restored to those living in the area at 1.23pm.
