A man has been ‘seriously injured’ after two cars collided near Broadbridge Heath on Easter Monday (April 6).

Emergency services attended the incident on the A264, Wickhurst Lane, at around 7.45am where Volkswagen Polo was in collision with a Toyota Rav4.

Police said the driver of the Volkswagen, a 53-year-old man from Godalming, was ‘seriously injured’ in the collision.

They added: “He was taken to the East Surrey Hospital at Redhill suffering from broken ribs, concussion and internal injuries.”

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said they believed the man could have been knocked unconscious during the collision but was fully conscious when paramedics arrived at the scene and took him to hospital.
