Resident Tricia Wootton was woken by the noise of the tree falling at 2.50am on Sunday.

She said: “We were awoken by a loud noise on Sunday morning as a result of storm Angus.

“The noise was unbelievable as it dropped above my bedroom at the front of the house.

“A huge crane has just arrived and they are going to lift it into the copse but I think it may take a while.”
