A WOMAN has died following a serious car collision on the B2139 in Amberley, near Arundel, at around 5pm yesterday (Thursday August 11).
Emergency services, including a Sussex Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene involving a Ford Fiesta and a SAAB. The female driver of the Ford Fiesta was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.
Her female passenger, reported to be around 70-years-of-age, was flown to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with abdominal injuries.
Three adult occupants of the SAAB car were taken to Worthing Hospital.
Sussex Police closed the road for several hours while traffic officers investigated.
