Police have renewed an appeal for witnesses to a crash that happened between a van and a car in Broadbridge Heath in June.

Officers are still investigating the incident, which took place on the roundabout linking the A264 with the A281 at 6.20pm on Tuesday June 30.

A woman was injured after the collision between a white Ford Transit van and a burgundy red Ford Fiesta.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said some witnesses were spoken to at the scene but officers believe there may be others who have yet to come forward.

The van made off, turned into Shelley Drive and was found abandoned in Corsletts Avenue, Broadbridge Heath, police said. It had sustained severe front end damage.

Anyone who recalls the incident can email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 1424 of 30/06.

A 27-year-old man from Broadbridge Heath has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, other motoring offences and perverting the course of justice, police said. He has been bailed until Wednesday November 11.
