Police appeal following serious collision north of Horsham

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision just north of Horsham on Thursday evening (August 23).

At around 11.10pm,a red BMW motorcycle was travelling south on the A24 Horsham Road at Holmwood when it was in collision with a silver vehicle at the junction with Mill Road.

The driver of the silver vehicle, which is described as a people carrier, failed to stop at the scene and continued along the A24 towards Horsham.

Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorcycle, a local man in his 30s, was taken by ambulance to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill with serious, life-changing leg injuries.

Officers need to speak to the driver of the silver vehicle and are urging them to come forward. They are also keen to hear from the driver of a blue Skoda Octavia who may have seen what happened.
