Lindfield woman seriously injured in collision

A 76-year-old woman from Lindfield suffered serious injuries when she was in collision with a car on a pelican crossing near the library in Southgate Avenue, Crawley, yesterday afternoon (Tuesday August 14).

The woman is being treated at Kings College Hospital, London, and her condition is critical.

The collision happened at 4.30pm, a busy time in the town, and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police on 101, quoting Op Hensham.

The 27-year-old local woman driving the Suzuki Swift car suffered minor injuries.
