POLICE are appealing for information after an accident in which a cyclist was badly hurt at Adversane.

The crash, around 7.15pm on the B2133 Harbolets Road on Thursday March 29, involved the bike and what police describe as an ‘unknown vehicle’.

The cyclist, who they say was a 44 year old man from the Horsham area, was seriously injured.

He was taken to Worthing Hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have seen either vehicle or a small white van with sign writing in the area at the time, to contact them on 101 quoting Operation Gwent.

Police are also keen to speak with a man who was driving a small red car who stopped to help at the scene.
