Hosted by Sussex Healthcare, the leading care provider of specialist care services in Sussex, along with professor of music Adam Ockelford held an exclusive afternoon concert in Broadbridge Heath with the very musically talented Derek Paravicini who has autism.
The event was supported by ‘Music for Autism’ – a fantastic charity set up by the London conductor John Lubbock and his wife, the singer, Christine Cairns.
Derek is currently undertaking a series of concerts with the Orchestra of St Johns, London, in their ‘Music for Autism’ series - special events for families with autistic children.
Derek has a unique style of playing with a phenomenal technique that enables him to play and improvise pieces of the utmost complexity on the piano/keyboard.
Derek was so excited to have been asked to play at one of Sussex Healthcare services in front of services users, friends and family.
The concert was so much fun and enjoyed by many who attended.
The service users had a fantastic time, listening, singing and dancing to Derek’s incredible inspirational talent and performance.
Sussex Healthcare look forward to planning many more events, just like this one in the near future.
