The Storrington in Bloom team was established by the community organisation, Greenfingers – who planted lamp post planters in the village, and has since grown to include more people and organisations, all of whom want to improve the village environment.

The team invited local competition judges, Tom Brown, head gardener at Parham House, reverend Kathryn Windslow and Storrington Horticultural Society (SHS), together with the sponsors of each category, to present the awards to the prize winners.

These included, Paul Cripps, of Spierbridge Road, who came first for his colourful blooms in his front garden, Alex and Hilary Spofforth, of Byne Cottage, Manleys Hill, for the visual impact on entrance into Storrington and Gill Ion and Ken Butler, for their allotment, on Amberley Road.
