A piece of Italy comes to Storrington on Saturday 24th May. Following the success of Piazza Italia in Horsham over Easter, which saw in excess of 100,000 visitors, the Italian market returns in a fortnight to bring a tasty slice of Italy back to West Sussex.
In addition to the market with its wide range of food stalls from cheeses to meats to olive oils, there will also be some stunning classic Italian cars on display at the event in Old Mill Drive being held from 9am to 4pm.
All the shops in the village will be open as usual and traders are looking forward to welcoming people for a browse and to join in Italian events and tasters.
The Moon Public House in the High Street will be hosting an Italian themed menu over the weekend.
Richard Messenger, Director of The Moon and chair of the Storrington Business Breakfast Club commented ‘It’s great that Storrington is to host Italia in Piazza & is bringing interest & variety to the village.’
Richard continued, ‘hopefully it will generate a lot of interest in our village from villagers and visitors alike. It should also pave the way for other such markets & events to keep visitors coming and our profile high.’
Come along on Saturday 24th May and enjoy the Italian atmosphere in Old Mill Drive. You can stock up on your Italian supplies which may be running low and enjoy spending some time in Storrington with its great variety of shops and places to eat.
