Nearly a hundred cowboys and girls yee haa’d and swung their partners around the dance floor on Saturday, April 12 at the Splendid Occasions ‘Let’s Barn Dance for Comic Relief’ event.

Hosted at the Barn in Horsham’s Causeway – which was decked out with bunting and bales of straw for the occasion– local group ‘The Maypole Band’ had the whole room do-si-doing to their infectious rhythms.

Dee, from Splendid Occasions, who put on the event to raise money for Comic Relief in its 25th year, said: “I am delighted that so many people came to the Barn Dance and took part in the raffle on the night.

“We raised a fantastic £450.

“I would like to thank all of the local businesses who kindly donated some wonderful raffle prizes.

“Also, thanks to the chef, bar staff, the band and jazz singer, photographer who gave their time completely free.

“It’s great to see such community spirit!”
