Sales of the official anthem for Horsham town aims to raise £100,000 for the Dame Vera Lynn Trust.

The song called ‘Horsham Town’ was written and produced by local resident Ben Chambers, the selected winner of the ‘Song for Horsham’ competition devised by PMW Communications Ltd and local music experts Voice From The Coalshed.

It features the solo version of ‘Horsham Town’ by Ben Chambers as well as a version of the song accompanied by the Horsham100 choir.

Managing director of PMW Communications Ltd, Peter Sutton, said: “The competition has already helped to raise over £3,000 for The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy, as part of the Horsham100 campaign, but we won’t stop until we reach our £100,000.”

Priced at £5, the CD is available at Covers Timber and Builders Merchants, Carmela, Waterstones, Tristan’s Restaurant, Horsham Music, The Company, Mapp & Co, Sakakini and Studio 2; look for the poster in the shop window.

Alternatively customers can send a cheque made payable to The Dame Vera Lynn Trust for £5 along with 60p in coins to cover postage to Lizzie Blount at PMW Communications Ltd, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 9HP.
