Children at Slinfold Primary school received an outreach visit from the Weald and Downland Museum on Wednesday September 17 as part of their Stone Age topic – ‘Stick and Stones’.

Children enjoyed finding out about how textiles were made over 2,000 years ago and had a go at spinning wool in the same way that Neolithic children would have done.

Bringing history to life always makes learning more memorable for the children, especially with dressing up and practical tasks, like they experienced through this session.
