SLIDESHOW: Pulborough round off title-winning season in style

CHAMPIONS Pulborough RFC celebrated their Sussex 1 title-winning season by demolishing Newick 73-10 in their final game of the year.

In front of a large home crowd at Freelands, the Boro boys ran in a huge 11 tries to Newick’s two in a brilliant final flourish on Saturday.

And the day was rounded off when captain Richard Nicholls lifted the Sussex 1 trophy in front of the clubhouse, cheered on by supporters, team-mates and club officials.

A video of the celebrations - including interviews with skipper Nicholls and head coach Ed Rydon - will appear on the website soon and a full report will be in this week’s West Sussex County Times, out on Thursday.
