Steyning Town boss Alan Skipper admitted his frustration after seeing his side’s clash with Selsey on Saturday fall victim to the weather.
Town, who were due to host the game, had to call the game off with The Shooting Field surface waterlogged.
Despite Skipper’s frustration, he knew that there was nothing the club could have done about it. He said: “It is frustrating to have games called off but it’s something we must deal with.
“The biggest issue is we have a decent size squad of committed players, so losing games to the weather doesn’t allow me to get them game time.”
Town are due to return to action on Tuesday (7.45pm) when they travel to local rivals Storrington.
Skipper added: “We are under no illusions on what a strong squad Pete Matthews has put together there and they are doing very well this season.
“But, with that said, if we have a full squad to select from and we bring our cup form to the game, then we will give them a good game.
“It’s a game that both clubs look forward to and, having moved the game to Tuesday evening, hopefully a decent crowd will turn out.”
Storrington suffered a shock 2-0 defeat away at Sidlesham on Saturday after having two players sent-off.
