Horsham police have donated £150 to the West Sussex County Scouts.

The group, based at Lodge Hill, Watersfield, has used the money to buy a new lectern to be used at community events throughout the year.

PC Natalie Stoner presented the donation to the county commissioner Irene Orford.

Mrs Orford said: “I would like to say thank you on behalf of West Sussex County Scouts for the donation from Sussex Police. The money was put towards a lectern which will be used for our county awards ceremonies throughout the year.”

The donation was arranged by PCSO Julie Green and comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
