The company which provides local transport solutions has an established station partnership at Horsham and was pleased to support the event including providing transport for the pupils and staff to the station from 4 local primary schools .

Schools involved this year were Leechpool Primary, St Johns RC Primary, Arunside Primary and Kingslea Primary Schools

All the schools involved have taken part this term in a rail education project led by Pene Mather, from the Sussex Community Rail Partnership who has co-ordinated a range of events and initiatives for young people in the community around the station.

Pene explained “Horsham Station is a key location for accessing all Horsham has to offer and the trees decorated today makes the station feel much more Christmassy as well as giving the young people involved today a sense of pride in brightening the station up for Christmas.

I do hope everyone using the station will look at the trees and enjoy what the children have done.”

The station partnership scheme is open to anyone with the community who would like to make or support an improvement at their local station or if you would like to get involved with an existing partnership please do contact pene@sussexcrp.org for further details.
