Parents of a student at The Towers School, in Upper Beeding, have delighted pupils by lending them their newly-acquired snowdog.

Mr and Mrs Gillespie bought the dog via a charity auction at Martlets Hospice.

The snowdog, which has already brightened up the day for pupils and staff, was painted by Louise Dear.

Headmistress Clare Trelfa said: “She is a mixture of beautifully vibrant colours and has been greeted with utter disbelief by our school dog.

“Thank you Mr and Mrs Gillespie.”
