THE CHIEF executive of Sainsbury’s ran a mile around Horsham last Friday (March 16).

It was the 22nd leg of Justin King’s 32 mile Sport Relief challenge.

The food store boss was running with colleagues from 32 stores across the country in a bid to raise as much money as possible.

He started at Horsham Cricket Club in Cricketfield Road in the early evening with colleague Mike Lewis from the Horsham store.

Mr King said: “In 2010, our customers and colleagues from Sainsbury’s Horsham helped us raise a massive £5.4m for Sport Relief and with the great fundraising activities many of our stores already have planned, we’re hoping to go the extra mile to try and beat that target this year.”

Mr Lewis said before the run: “I’m really looking forward to representing Horsham at Justin’s mile and it’s great to know that my colleagues will be cheering me on at the event. It’s not every day that you get to run with your boss and I’m just looking forward to the experience and knowing that we’re all taking part to raise money for a good cause.”
